Entertaible

Science Fiction? Nope. This is a photo of the new 30" LCD screen by Phillips, called the Entertaible. Here's a clip from their press release:

"Entertaible allows the players to engage in a new class of electronic game which combines the features of computer gaming, such as dynamic playing fields and gaming levels, with the social interaction and tangible playing pieces, such as pawns and dies, of traditional board games."

It's still in prototype form, but you can imagine in 10 years this being a common item in homes. Perhaps board game manufacturers would release computer versions of their standard titles in this format. Imagine if it was internet connected, and you could play multiplayer as well.
