I am a fan of economic games, delivery games, tradings games, and their ilk. Acquire, Die Handler, Hansa, Motley Fool Buy Low Sell High, Traders of Genoa are all in my collection, and although rarely played, I will break them out whenever I have a chance.
One of the kings of this genre, and also of the "monster game" category, is Roats and Boats, by Splotter Spellen.
Out of print for some time, this game is going for $285 on eBay as we speak, and I've heard of it being sold for more. Rated 58 right now on the 'Geek, it is a 1-4 player, 4 hour economic beast that I would love to get my hands on!
Word is, it's finally being reprinted - check out this article on Boardgamenews. Supposedly to be shipped in June, no word on pricing yet - I will post when I hear anything. Check out the Boardgamegeek review of this bad boy, it looks awesome.
