I've been watching this game for over 2 years. Finally managed to get a copy from Funagain, used. A building game set in ancient Rome, Alan Moon the designer (New England, San Marco, Ticket to Ride, Canal Grande). Tom Vassel wrote a very interesting review here.Anyone interesting in trying this one with me?

Played on 12/18, solitare. I like this area-control game, it reminded me of Hansa in it's length and complexity (not very). It has a cool bidding mechanism that will make it competitive. Like El Grande, it does appear to be fairly chaotic (it make be hard to develop a strategy, as opposed to a purely tactical game).
